NEBOSH Fire Certificate

The NEBOSH Fire Certificate comprises of 3 units: Health and Safety Management, Fire Safety and Risk Management and Practical Fire Risk Assessment. This course is targeted at delegates who have successfully completed the NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or the Management of Safety & Health (week 1) of the NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety in the last 5 years.

Who The NEBOSH Fire Certificate Course Is For

  • These fire safety courses are designed for Managers, Supervisors, personnel responsible for fire safety and aims to equip holders to contribute to the conduct and review of fire risk assessments and fire preventative and protective measures within most workplaces.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the legal framework relating to fire and health & safety
  • Appreciate the purpose and procedures of investigating fires in the workplace
  • Outline the principles behind ignition and spread of fire and explosion in work premises
  • Identify the causes of fire and explosion and outline appropriate control measures to minimise fire risks
  • Advise on the means of fire protection and prevention of fire spread within buildings
  • Advise on the development and maintenance of a fire evacuation procedure
  • Use a simple fire risk assessment technique to determine risk levels and assess the adequacy of controls

NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate On-Site Assessment

  • Attendees are required to complete an on-site workplace fire risk assessment assignment after the last day of the course. The assignment is to be compeleted at your own workplace and submitted to NEBOSH within 2 weeks of the last day of the course.

NEBOSH Fire Certificate Certification

  • On successful passing of the NEBOSH Fire Certificate exam you will recieve a NEBOSH accredited Fire Certificate. Certificates are forwarded by NEBOSH approximately 12 weeks after the completion of the course.
