Emergency First Aid at work
The Emergency First Aid at Work for Appointed Person training course is a HSE recommended, non-assessed course. This is the minimum level of First Aid training required for the workplace, appropriate for low-risk environments or for those acting in the absence of a fully qualified First Aider.

Emergency First Aid at Work Course Content
To be able to provide basic life support delegates will receive training in a range of Appointed Person First Aid subjects, including:
- Aims and Principles of First Aid
- Action at an Emergency
- Basic Life Support
- Management of the Unconscious Casualty
- Assessment and treatment of a casualty who is wounded, bleeding or shocked
- Assessment and treatment of fractures, dislocations and soft tissue injuries
- Assessment and treatment of burns
Important Information
All course attendees must be free of any condition that will prohibit them from participating fully during the practical aspects of the Emergency First Aid at Work course.
Course Outcome
On completion of this basic life support course, delegates will receive a First Aid certificate of attendance to the standard of Emergency First Aid at Work for Appointed Person.
