Manual Handling Training (People)

Manual handling training covers a wide variety of tasks including lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling and carrying. When any of these tasks are not carried out properly, there is a risk of injury. More than a third of all reported injuries which result in someone being off work for more than three days are caused by manual handling. The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 (as amended 2002) require employers to conduct risk assessments of manual handling activities that they undertake and to provide appropriate manual handling training for their employees. A dedicated manual handling training course will help employers meet this requirement.

Who should attend a Manual Handling training course?

  • All employees who undertake manual handling operations as part of their work tasks.

Manual Handling Training (People) courses are typically half-day to a full-day in duration and can be engineered specifically for your organisation.
