The NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Health and Safety will provide students with the skills that they need to minimise risks in the workplace and ensure a safe environment for both themselves and other employees.
What’s Included in the NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Health and Safety?
The courses lasts for a total of 310 hours of study, 161 of which will take place under guided supervision. At the end of the course, students will be granted either a pass or a fail. During the NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Health and Safety course, students will be able to track their progress via a list of modules and units. These modules and units are structured as follows:
Course Content
The NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Health and Safety course consists of five mandatory units and four optional ones, of which candidates must select two. The assessment criteria include:
- Identifying health and safety procedures
- Agreeing realistic health and safety objectives
- Reviewing the effectiveness of existing procedures
- Recognising legal obligations
- Identifying hazards and risks and controlling them, while keeping an accurate record
Successful candidates will not only be able to implement correct health and safety procedures themselves; they’ll also be able to foster a culture of health and safety which will lead to decreased risk for everyone.
