Why Choose the Online ProQual Level 1 Health & Safety in Construction Course?

The ProQual Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment is the nationally recognised qualification you need for a CSCS Green Labourer Card application.

This fully remote, distance learning course allows you to study from anywhere in the UK at your own pace, with full tutor support from accredited providers. It’s a flexible and convenient way to gain the essential safety knowledge required to work on construction sites.

What’s Included in the ProQual Level 1 Health & Safety in a Construction Environment Course?

We have designed this blended learning approach to the Level 1 so that it is ideal for those who are currently working in construction and are unable to take time off work to attend classroom-based lessons. Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive the ProQual Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment certificate, which allows you to book the CSCS touchscreen test and then apply for the Green CSCS Card. (Please note that this is a separate booking and not included in the course fees).

This course is made up of one unit, covering the following topics:

  • Principles of risk assessment for maintaining and improving health and safety at work
  • The importance of safe manual handling in the workplace.
  • Working safely at height in the workplace
  • Working around plant and equipment safely

We have tried to make this as uncomplicated as possible by collecting evidence through a range of methods, including submission of real work completed during your day-to-day job, a professional discussion with your assessor to back up your knowledge, and a written Q&A task. You will be working with an experienced human assessor (not online platforms or admin staff) who will be there to support you, motivate you, and guide you every step of the way until you succeed.

The course fee includes registration, your workbook, assessment, and certification. Prices are all-inclusive, covering everything you need, meaning there are no hidden charges or surprise costs to you or your employer.

You can start at any time. Once you have signed up and we have received your completed registration form, you will be issued a work pack via email. Your assessor will then book an induction with you. On your initial contact/induction with your assessor, they will explain evidence gathering and how to understand our workbook and filing systems.
