On-Site Training for Groups

There is no fixed minimum, but the economics change with group size. Because on-site courses are priced for the group rather than per person, small numbers can work out similar to booking public places, while larger groups get progressively cheaper per head. As a rough guide, on-site usually starts to win from around six to eight delegates upwards — though for shift-critical roles it can be worth it at lower numbers purely for the reduced downtime.

Maximum group sizes are set by the accrediting body and vary by course, so the ceiling on a first aid course differs from a CITB or IOSH one. We will confirm the limit for your chosen course when we quote.

Yes to both. We can raise an invoice rather than requiring payment at the point of booking, and we will carry your purchase order number through the quote, invoice and correspondence. Places are held provisionally and confirmed once payment is settled, so allow enough lead time for your internal approval and finance process when choosing dates.

If you are booking several courses or multiple sites, we can consolidate everything onto a single invoice.

At your own premises, or at a venue you hire. There are no geographical restrictions across the UK, provided the room is suitable for classroom delivery and, where the course requires it, has enough space for practical work. If you do not have a suitable room, we can look at local venue options as part of the quote.

Most providers ask for a room large enough for the group with tables and chairs, a screen or wall for projection, mains power, adequate lighting and ventilation, and access to toilets and refreshments. Practical courses need additional floor space — first aid courses, for example, need clear floor area for resuscitation training.

Requirements vary by provider and course, so exact specifications come through with your joining instructions once the booking is confirmed.

Yes. Weekend delivery, early starts, late finishes and split sessions across shifts can all be arranged. Out-of-hours delivery sometimes carries a premium depending on the provider, which will be shown clearly in your quote rather than added later.

Yes. On-site delivery changes where the course runs, not what it is. The syllabus, assessment and certification come from the same accrediting body — CITB, IOSH, NEBOSH, ECITB, IEMA or the relevant first aid awarding organisation — and the certificate carries the same recognition and validity period as one earned on a public course.

Within limits. Accredited courses have a fixed syllabus that cannot be shortened or altered, because that is what makes the certificate valid. What can change is context: a trainer can draw examples from your industry, walk through your own risk assessments and procedures, and use your site and equipment where practical.

It depends on the course and how busy the providers are in your area. Popular construction schemes and anything requiring a specialist trainer generally need more lead time than a first aid or general awareness course. Give us your target dates when you enquire and we will tell you honestly what is achievable rather than promising a date we then have to move.

Yes. Tell us your renewal cycle, or tick the reminder box on the enquiry form, and we will get in touch in good time before the certificates run out. Renewals booked early give you a far better choice of dates than renewals booked once someone has already lapsed.
