Expert Tutor-Led Face-to-Face Training

The IOSH Managing Safely Refresher classroom course is delivered face-to-face by expert IOSH tutors. Taking place over one day, this practical and engaging session reinforces your understanding of key safety principles while giving you the chance to discuss real-life scenarios with your peers. Classroom training is ideal for those who prefer a structured learning environment with direct tutor support.

The IOSH Refresher course is aimed at managers and supervisors who have previously undertaken the full version of the IOSH Managing Safely. The original certificate does not expire, however it is IOSH’s view that it is best practice for Managing Safely certificate holders to renew their learning within three years, however this is not essential as the regularity of renewal lies with the employer.

The refresher training provides delegates with the latest best practice and legislation changes and ensures that their knowledge and best practice is completely up to date.

IOSH certification for all refresher courses will contain the word “Refresher” within the course title.

This virtual IOSH Managing Safely Refresher course is tutor-led and designed for those who have attended and successfully completed an IOSH Managing Safely course within the past three years.

The refresher course is a great way to keep the health and safety knowledge and skills learned by taking a Managing Safely course up to date, and refresh your certificate.

The core programme is designed to revisit key management responsibilities from the IOSH Managing Safely course and provide updates on relevant changes in good practice guidance, legislation and standards.

Assessment & IOSH Certification

There is no practical risk assessment for the refresher course. An IOSH Managing safely certificate is awarded to all those who successfully complete the end of course assessment.

In-house Training Option

If you have multiple members of staff that could benefit from taking an IOSH Managing Safely Refresher course, we are able to arrange this training on an in-house basis. This would be delivered at an agreed upon location and date that will suit the needs of your organisation. Refresher training is a great option to get staff re-certified and with in-house training the course can be tailored to be relevant to your organisation’s operations. The course can be delivered online via Zoom or Microsoft Teams, or at your venue in person.

It follows the same curriculum as the classroom version and meets all IOSH requirements, ensuring you receive the same high-quality training and recognised certification.

This flexible format is ideal for busy managers and supervisors who want to refresh their IOSH knowledge without attending scheduled classes. All you need is a broadband internet connection and a suitable device such as a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet.

E-learning User Setup

For all e-learning / online courses we are required to setup user accounts and login details. Courses can only be processed and accessed the same day if purchased during our normal working hours which are Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm. Courses purchased on a weekend will be processed on the following Monday morning.
