What is the PAT Testing Training Course?

This PAT Testing course will train delegates to carry out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) using appropriate testing equipment. The training provider has its own PAT testing equipment which they train you to use, however you are welcome to bring your own equipment with you for training if you prefer. Please note that the course does not cover 3 phase equipment.

The PAT Testing course is suitable for anyone wishing to become an appointed person for Portable Appliance Testing within organisations using portable appliances.

Prerequisites to Attend

You must be competent in English at operative level

Certification and Assessment

  • You will take a short-written test and receive a course handout summarising the topics covered.
  • You must complete an end of course practical assessment/testing.
  • Direct observation that measures all learning outcomes and has a pass or fail criteria.
  • Successful delegates will receive a training certificate and photo ID card.
