Distance learning vs e-learning

The two are often confused. E-learning is delivered entirely through a learning management system and typically completed in an hour or two.

Distance learning uses structured materials and tutor contact, runs over months rather than hours, and usually leads to a regulated qualification. Virtual instructor-led and classroom courses require attendance on set dates.
