CITB Tunnelling Safety Training Scheme (TSTS) Course – Classroom

About the Classroom TSTS Course

The CITB Tunnelling Safety Training Scheme (TSTS) course is designed specifically for workers and supervisors operating in the challenging environment of tunnel construction. Developed by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), this course ensures that all personnel working underground understand the critical safety standards, procedures, and responsibilities required to manage and reduce risk effectively.

Delivered in a classroom setting, the TSTS course provides a structured, interactive learning experience where participants gain a thorough understanding of tunnelling hazards such as confined spaces, ground stability, ventilation, and fire prevention. It also covers legislation, safe systems of work, and the importance of teamwork and communication in tunnelling operations.
