This C&G Confined Spaces Medium Risk 6160-09 course is designed to reflect the national occupation standards for a medium risk related confined space environment. It covers both Water and Non-Water industry areas. This unit is for the entry controller / top person who controls entry and arrangements for medium risk confined spaces and works within them. It includes the duties of an entry controller, pre-entry procedures, preparing to work safely, using equipment and tools safely, entry into and exit from the medium risk confined space, maintaining communications, and initiating and following emergency arrangements.

The City & Guilds Confined Spaces Medium Risk 6160-09 course is suitable for anybody who will be working in a medium risk environment and includes preparing to work safely, entering and exiting medium risk confined spaces safely, using equipment and tools safely, following procedures and dealing with emergencies.

The aims of this C&G Confined Spaces Medium Risk 6160-09 course are:

Prepare to work safely in medium risk confined spaces
Enter & exit a medium risk confined space safely
Work safely & monitor team work to ensure procedures are followed
Deal with emergency situations,
Understand the principals of working in medium risk confined spaces
Understand standard protocols for work in medium risk confined spaces
Understand entry controller duties & responsibilities
Understand equipment checks & inspections required
Delegates will be required to complete and pass a practical observation and answer question paper.

Examination and City & Guilds Certification

You will complete a practical observation and short answer questions paper. The C&G Confined Spaces Medium Risk 6160-09 certificate is valid for 3 years.
