The course content is designed to give managers all they need to know to help them handle health and safety in the area under their responsibility. Managers will gain a broad based knowledge of health and safety and safe systems of work.

The IOSH Managing Safely e-learning course is delivered and tested online so managers never need to leave their workplace. A project is completed by the learner onsite and marked by an IOSH certificated consultant.

Qualification and Certification
Yes. Delegates who successfully complete the e-learning and practical assessments at the end of the course are awarded an IOSH Managing Safely certificate. The IOSH Managing Safely e-learning course covers exactly the same content as the classroom course. The certificate issued upon successful completion of the e-learning course is identical to the certificate issued to classroom course attendees.
The e-learning course takes approximately 24 hours to complete. A period of 6 months is allowed for completion - this is not extendable.

Entry Requirements and Prior Learning
There are no formal entry requirements to attend this course. Prior learning is available however it is not essential. If you would like to attend a more basic health and safety course prior to attending the managing safely course we recommend the IOSH Working Safely course. This qualification is one day in duration, it is nationally recognised and it is suitable for new starters or workers from any industry sector requiring a grounding in health and safety essentials. The IOSH Working Safely course is available in a classroom setting and e-learning format.
If you have attended the IOSH Managing Safely course within the last three years you can attend the IOSH Managing Safely Refresher e-learning. The course is just 6 to 7 hours in duration. Please note: For all e-learning and online courses we are required to setup user accounts and login details. Courses can only be processed and accessed the same day if purchased during our normal working hours which are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. Courses purchased on a weekend will be processed on the following Monday morning.
